WinNT!
OK, now the Secondary Machines.
It's pretty much the same task.
SECONDARY DN SERVER
First SHUT DOWN your DNS server. This is
important or your new root.cache file will be overwritten.
Copy the root.cache file over \WINNT\system32\DNS\cache.dns
Restart your DNS Server
Using the DNS Manager select your SECONDARY server and right click.
Select PROPERTIES.
Click on the Forwarders Tab.
SELECT "Use Forwarders"
Add the IP address of your PRIMARY server.
The quickest way to test is NSLOOKUP. Open a Command windows and
type:
C:\>nslookup
Default Server: alpha.ah.net
Address: 203.21.204.10
> set type=any
> .
Server: alpha.ah.net
Address: 203.21.204.10

- That's it for the Secondary Server. It's now running perfectly.
Now overall I'd say it wasn't so bad - was it?
